Leon Briody Tractor Run takes place this Sunday
The Leon Briody Tractor Run will take place on Sunday, March 22 to remember a boy who adored farm machinery.
The event is organised by Leon’s mam Diane, who set up the fund after her nine-year-old son passed away last year after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Funds raised will go towards erecting memorials in Leon’s favourite places, and the tractor run is one of many evens organised to remember him.
Registration for the run will be from 11am from the Cavan Equestrian Centre before leaving at 1pm and making its way to Ballyhaise, Castletara, Drung, Laragh, back through Castletara and finishing up at the equestrian centre again.
Meanwhile, there will be a smaller run for vintage vehicles.
Longford Youtuber Farmer Phil, who was Leon’s favourite farming influencer, will also be there on the day.
A huge raffle will also take place on the day, and an “overwhelmed” Diane thanked everybody who has supported the fund to date.
