Cool and blustery today with sunny spells and passing heavy showers, bringing the chance of hail with the odd wintry fall on higher ground. Highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees, with an added wind chill factor, owing to a rather brisk west to northwest wind.
Largely dry tonight under clearing skies with moderating westerly breezes. Cloudier across western areas towards morning as patchy drizzle and mist develops. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +5 degrees, coldest across Ulster and north Leinster, with frost and icy patches in places.
Cloudy or overcast on Thursday with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle moving in off the Atlantic. Some hill, mist and coastal fog too. Parts of Leinster and southeast Munster will stay largely dry with just patchy drizzle. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees. Southwest winds will freshen a small bit into the afternoon.
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle overnight on Thursday. Hill, mist and coastal fog will occur too. A clearance will set in across northwest counties towards morning though. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in moderate west to southwest winds.
Early rain on Friday will give way to sunshine and scattered showers, generally dry on Saturday, with a wet day following on Sunday. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees over the weekend.
