There'll be some bright or sunny spells for a time today, but with a scattering of showers too and it'll become mostly cloudy later. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds, backing southeasterly later.

It'll become wet tonight, with outbreaks of rain becoming widespread from the south, heavy at times. There'll be some mist and hill fog too. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light to moderate southeasterly winds, freshening later, especially along the east coast.

It'll start off wet tomorrow, Saturday with outbreaks of rain, heavy at first, but easing through the morning. The rain will slowly clear northeastwards through the afternoon and early evening, with some bright or sunny spells following. Highest temperatures of 13 or 14 degrees in mostly light to moderate cyclonic variable winds, fresh easterly for a time in the east, becoming mostly light to moderate westerly as the rain clears.
