Missing Monaghan teen found safe and well

An Garda Síochána has confirmed that a teenage girl reported missing from from her home in Monaghan has been located safe and well.

Ella Rose Mooney (13) had not been seen since Thursday, May 21.

The teenager's disappearance prompted a public appeal for information, with Gardaí seeking assistance from members of the public and the media in efforts to trace her whereabouts. Following extensive enquiries, Gardaí have now confirmed that Ella Rose has been found and is safe.

As a result, the missing person appeal has been stood down and no further media action is required.

An Garda Síochána expressed its gratitude to the public, community groups and media organisations who shared the appeal and assisted in the search efforts.
