Cool and unsettled conditions continue
Temperatures are forecast to reach around 15°C in Cavan and 15–17°C in Monaghan
Cool and unsettled conditions remain with the morning beginning under mostly cloudy skies, with patches of light rain and drizzle moving across both Cavan and Monaghan.
Conditions are likely to remain damp at times through the first half of the day, although rainfall should be light rather than persistent.
As the afternoon progresses, brighter intervals may begin to appear, allowing occasional breaks of sunshine through the cloud. Despite these brighter spells, there will still be a risk of scattered showers, particularly in exposed areas. Temperatures are forecast to reach around 15°C in Cavan and 15–17°C in Monaghan, making it feel fresh rather than warm for June.
Light to moderate westerly winds will add a slight chill, especially during showers.
By evening, cloud will increase again, and temperatures will gradually fall. Overnight conditions will become quite cool, with lows near 6°C in Cavan and around 9–10°C in Monaghan.
