Missing teen found 'safe and well'

The missing person appeal has now been stood down.

A 13-year-old girl missing from her home in Monaghan for more than fortnight, has been found safe and well.

Ella Rose Mooney had been missing since Friday, 12 June 2026. She was last seen in Blackrock are of Co. Louth, at approximately 6pm that evening.

During the appeal, Gardaí also said she was known to frequent the Tallaght area.

In an update issued this morning following that earlier appeal, Gardaí confirm that Ella has now been located “safe and well”.

"Gardaí would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," a spokesperson said.

The missing person appeal has now been stood down.
