Department update on RTSS payments and late application process

Funds have started arriving in applicants' bank accounts.

The Department of Transport is pleased to confirm that the first payments under the Road Transporters Support Scheme (RTSS) have now been processed and are issuing to eligible applicants.

The €120 million Road Transporters Support Scheme (RTSS) provides once-off grants to Irish haulage and coach operators to offset surging diesel costs.

Graded payments are distributed per qualifying vehicle, benefiting smaller operators proportionally more: €1,350 each for the first 5 vehicles, €790 each for 6 to 20, and €300 each for 21+.

Funds have started arriving in applicants' bank accounts.

Applications are assessed against the Scheme's published eligibility criteria. Once a decision has been made, applicants are notified of the outcome and, where applicable, provided with information on the review process. Payments are then processed for approved applications, with applicants receiving a remittance notice from the National Shared Services Office (NSSO) before funds are lodged to their bank account.
