With profound sadness we annouce the sudden but peaceful passing of Louise McDermott in the loving care of The Intensive Care Unit at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by those she loved and who loved her unconditionally.

Louise's passing is deeply regretted and she will be forever sadly missed by her beloved husband and best friend Robbie, her adored and cherished children, Seàn (Niamh), Liam and Kacey (Killian), her heartbroken parents, James (Christine) and Margaret (Patsy O'Neill RIP), her dear brothers, Spencer(Sarah), Adam(Amanda) and Richard(Sharon), her loving parents in law John and Breda and her steadfast supportive Sisters in law and Brother in Law, Ruth, Emma(Lorna) and Patrick(Carmel), her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Louise will repose on Tuesday evening in "The Village Chapel Of Rest", Mullagh, A82DE28 from 5pm to 8pm. Requiem Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, in St. Matthew's Church, Maghera at 2pm, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Louise's family wish to thank all those who assisted Louise in her time of need, to the First Responders, Ambulance Personnel, Neighbours, Gardai, Nurses, Doctors, Porters, Staff of Cavan General Hospital and all those who offered prayers and intentions, thank you for your support and kind wishes.

Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of Lily Connolly, Coretard, Threemilehouse, Sunday 6th September, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of the staff in Monaghan Hospital in her 95th year.

Predeceased by her husband Joe, infant sons Terence & Patrick, daughters Dympna & Margaret (Mags).

Lily will be forever loved and cherished by her family, son Seamus, daughters; Ann and Geraldine, sons-in-law Harry Connolly, Frank Toal, Brendan Toal, her adored grandchildren; Declan, Lisa, Darren, Gary, Paul, Aidy, Niall, Conor, Michelle, Aoife, Stephen and Kiara, her 15 great-grandchildren, her beloved sister May Croarkin, her nieces, nephews, neighbours and extended family members will cherish the fond memories that they have of her.

Lily will repose at her home on Monday (7th) & Tuesday (8th) from 5pm until 9pm. Lily’s funeral procession will leave her home on Wednesday morning to arrive to St. Mary's Church, Threemilehouse, for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. The death has occurred of Bronwyn Duffy, Stoke-on-Trent, England and formerly of Beechgrove Lawns, Monaghan Town, Co. Monaghan, on Saturday, 5th September 2026.

Predeceased by her father Frank and her sister Genevieve.

Beloved daughter of Rosemary (Mona), beloved partner of Alex, much loved mother of Kimberley and Katie and a cherished sister of Vanessa (Eugene Campbell), Barry (Wendy), Fergal (Deborah), Ruairi (Julie) and Emmet (Catherine). Bronwyn will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her mother, partner, daughters, sisters, brothers, nephew Connor, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours, many friends and by all who knew and loved Bronwyn.

Predeceased by his brother P.J and Arthur and his sister Betty (Mc Kenna).

Kevin will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Margaret and daughters Mary (Chris Vance) and Geraldine, his adored grandchildren, Sarah and Chloe, his sister-in-law Josephine, his nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends, past work colleagues and everyone who knew and loved him.

Kevin will repose in Clerkins Funeral Home (H18YF22) on Tuesday (8th) from 5pm until 8pm. Kevin’s funeral procession will arrive to St. Macartan's Cathedral on Wednesday afternoon for 1pm Funeral Mass followed by burial in Latlurcan new cemetery. Predeceased by his parents, Bridget and John-Frank and his sister Kate.

Much loved husband of Maureen and cherished father of Bríd (Frankie Hughes, Bunnoe), Patricia (Liam Brennan, Carnroe, Scotshouse) and Noel. Pa John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, son, adored grandchildren, sister Margaret, brother Frank, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved Pa John.

Pa John will be resting at the residence of his daughter Patricia and son-in-law Liam, Carnroe, Scotshouse (H23 VX28), on Monday, 7th September; from 5pm to 9pm. (House private to family and close friends at all other times please, including Tuesday morning). Removal on Tuesday morning, 8th September, at approx 10.30am to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Scotshouse, arriving for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Predeceased by his parents Owen & May.

Brian will be sadly missed by his children; Elizabeth (Eliza), Fiona, John (Ciara), Margaret (Jude), Claire (Dwayne), Amy & Michael and their mother Dr. Marian Smyth, his beloved grandchildren Ben, Ciara & Levi, his brothers Owen (Anne), John (Catherine), Paddy (Geraldine) and sister Mary, his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Brian’s remains will leave The Glen Road on Wednesday 9th at 2.30pm to St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for Funeral Mass at 3pm. Burial afterwards in the Old graveyard at Latlurcan Cemetery.

Martina West

(née Brennan)

Corrybrennan, Ballybay, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Martina West (née Brennan) Corrybrennan, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan, on Saturday, September 5th, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Rossmore View Unit, Monaghan Hospital.

Predeceased by her infant son Alan, daughter Nichola, parents John and Nan Brennan, and her sister Mary.

A dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Martina will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Gerry, her daughter Ursula, son-in-law Padraig (Larmer), her cherished grandsons Evan, Cormick and Paudie, granddaughter Clodagh, her extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Martina will be remembered with great affection for her gentle nature, her warmth and kindness, and the love she so freely gave to her family and to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and whose lives she touched.

Martina will repose at Ward’s Funeral Home, Ballybay (A75H585) tomorrow Monday, from 3pm until 8pm

Removal from her home on Wednesday (September 9th) morning at 12:20pm (proceeding on foot) to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballybay, for Funeral Mass at 1pm, followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

House strictly private at all times please, by the request of the family.
