Paddy (Frank) Donohoe, Carnagh Lower, Loughduff, Co. Cavan. Wednesday 9th September 2026 peacefully at the General Hospital, Cavan.

Predeceased by his parents Brian and Bridget, sisters Nancy, Mary and Bridie.

Sadly missed by his sisters Peggy Brady, Aghabog, Monaghan. Alice Davey, London. Claire Winchester, New Jersey. Rosetta O' Boyle, Foxrock, Dublin. Carmel Feeley, Ballyhaunis, brothers- in- law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home Kilcogy (N39W1D6) on Friday evening from 7pm. with prayers at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10 am. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran (N39HN84) Internment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Joseph (Joe) McHale, Terrigal, Australia and formerly Finea, Co. Cavan. On September 8th 2026. Suddenly and unexpectedly. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Patricia.

Dearly loved husband of Melanie, loving father of Tom and Flynn and dear brother of Martin, Siobhan, Maura, Maurice, Melissa and Malcolm. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Erin, Eamon, Tara, Brooke, Matthew, Aaron, Kate, Ewan and Aidan, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents James and Mary Ellen, his brothers Seamus, Pat, Frank and Declan.

Remembered with love and will be sadly missed by his loving children Karen, Marion, Gary (Steph) and Barry, his very dear friend Chrissie. his adored 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, his sisters Rose Leddy and Bridie Hawkins, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Smyth Elizabeth “Lily” née O’Hanlon, Glen Brook, Loch Gowna, Co. Cavan, Wed 9th Sept 2026 peacefully in her 105th year, in the devoted care of her sons Kieran and Gerard. Lily is predeceased by her husband John Frank and her six brothers and six sisters. Deeply regretted by her brother Colm and sister Patricia “Patsy”, her nephews and nieces and grand-nephews and grand-nieces, her neighbours and very good friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Cavan (H12 RF78) on Fri 11th Sept from 7- 8.30pm. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Sat 12th Sept in the Church of the Holy Family, Loch Gowna (H12 FT54) to arrive at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully in St. James' Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary (Collins, Strokestown) and much loved father of Eoin. Martin will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife & son, brothers Gerald & Sean, sisters Marie, Bernadette & Claire, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, relatives and friends. Martin is predeceased by his parents John & Rose.

Martin will be reposing at Cunningham's Funeral Home, Celbridge (W23 AK13), on Sunday, September 13th, from 4pm to 6pm, with evening prayers at 5.30pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, September 14th, at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Celbridge. Burial afterwards in Strokestown Cemetery, Co. Roscommon, at 3pm.

Predeceased by her husband Dan, her parents James & Rita, her brothers Packie-Joe, Jim & John and her sisters Alice, Bridie, Kathleen & Mary.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her beloved family; her daughters Caroline (David), Áine (Michael) & Catherine (Fintan), her much-loved grandchildren; Laura, Jason, Ronan, Michelle, Pádraig, Conor, Fionnán & Eimear and her great-grandchildren Micheál, Leah & Sheá, her sisters Margaret (USA) & Ann (UK), her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends & neighbours.

Lily will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, on Friday, 11th September, from 4pm until 8pm.

Lily's funeral cortège will leave her daughter Caroline & son-in-law David's home, Crann Nua, on Sunday, 13th September, proceeding on foot via Mullinary, the Convent Hill & Main Street, to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving at 11:50am for Funeral Mass at 12noon followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
