Committee set up as Monaghan begin search for a manager

Monaghan County Board have established a committee to appoint a manager for the Senior Men's footballers.
Expressions of interest for the position closed on Tuesday night, and at a meeting on Wednesday the committee was created.
It will consist of of a past player, two representatives from the clubs (the county committee), an independent commissioner, and two members of Monaghan GAA's management.
According to Monaghan GAA, the committee wasn't established until the expressions of interest closed, in order to avoid a conflict of interest.
The Celt understands that the committee does have authority to seek other candidates, if the candidates who have expressed interest and not suitable.
Monaghan GAA indicated that the process could take a number of weeks.
