Bridie O'Neill (nee Tackney), Townparks, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan, Wednesday 23rd September 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Lisdarn Hospital, Cavan.
Predeceased by her beloved son Brian, her parents Patrick and Kathleen and brothers Paddy and Noel.
Bridie was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by her devoted husband and best friend Michael, her heart broken family, Joanne (Tommy McCarron), Paul (Claire), Helen (Alex), Sean (Helena), Pauric and Mary, her adored grandchildren, Katie, Sienna, Cian, Tara, Ellen, Josh, Annie and Ben, her great grandson Shéa, brother, Sean, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all her extended family, good neighbours and many friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at her home in Ballyhaise (H12 W2C4) on Friday afternoon from 2pm until 8pm. Removal on Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm to St. Mary's Church, Ballyhaise for a Funeral Mass at 3pm. Following Mass the cortege will travel to St.Patrick's Cemetery, Castletara for committal prayers and burial in the family plot.

Bernie Smith (nee Lehane), Longfield, Stradone, Co. Cavan and late of Dromatouk, Kenmare, Co. Kerry. Thursday, September 24th 2026, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Philip, parents James and Cathy and brother John Brendan.
Cherished mother of Philip, James, Angela and Declan and much loved Grandmother of Ellen, Kate, Laura, Íosa, Aobh, Áinle, Brayden and Sarah. Sadly missed by her brothers and sisters Eileen, Maureen, Breda, Paudie, Noel, Declan, Geraldine and Michael, son-in-law Barry, daughters-in-law Clare and Deirdre, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.
Rest in Peace
Bernie’s remains will arrive at St. Brigid’s Church Laragh on Saturday for prayers at 5pm. Removal from her home on Sunday to arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, Laragh for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
