Dry morning but showers on the way later

Mainly dry up to Friday. Becoming more unsettled over the weekend with rain or showers spreading from the west. That's the latest weather outlook from Met Éireann.
Today will start off mainly dry. Through the morning, showers will develop over the southern half of the country. They'll extend over the northern half of the country this afternoon, some heavy with spot flooding and isolated thunderstorms possible. This evening, rain or drizzle will develop in the southwest. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees with light southerly or variable breezes.
Tonight will start off with further showers or outbreaks of rain over the southern half of the country. These will gradually clear to the south by morning with clear spells following. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 10 degrees with light variable breezes.
On Wednesday morning, any lingering patchy rain in the south will soon clear to give a dry and mostly sunny day with just the chance of a few showers in southern counties. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees generally with light to moderate northerly breezes. Cooler in north Ulster with highs of 14 to 16 degrees.
Wednesday night will be dry with isolated mist patches around dawn. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees in light to moderate northwest breezes.
Thursday will be largely dry with patchy cloud and sunny spells and just the odd light shower possible. Light to moderate northerly winds will bring a fresher feel to northern parts of Ulster and Connacht as well as near the Leinster coast with highest temperatures of just 14 to 16 degrees, but ranging from 17 to 21 degrees elsewhere.
Friday will start off dry with sunny spells. Cloud will increase from the west. Rain or drizzle will develop in the west towards evening and spread eastwards. Amounts will be small. Highest temperatures 14 to 18 degrees with light to moderate variable breezes. Friday night will be mostly cloudy with patchy light rain, drizzle at first and with more persistent rain spreading eastwards overnight. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Saturday morning will be mostly cloudy with rain in most areas. The rain will gradually clear eastwards with scattered showers following from the west. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with moderate to fresh southerly winds becoming southwesterly as rain clears.
Sunday will be a bright day with sunny spells and scattered showers, most frequent in the west. It will be cooler and fresher with highest temperatures of 12 to 6 degrees and fresh, gusty west to southwest winds.
Early next week will continue cool and mixed with rain or showers at times.
