It's going to be a scorcher!

Humid with thunderstorms active in the south early on. Becoming a very warm and hot day with long spells of sunshine. A few showers may break out with isolated thunderstorms possible. Patchy mist and fog may also occur along west and southeast coasts. Highest temperatures of 24 to 29 degrees for the majority of the country, feeling slightly milder in Munster and south Leinster with highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees.

Mainly dry with cloudier conditions across the country spreading from the west overnight. Isolated showers are possible in parts of Ulster and Leinster. Mild with highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees, feeling warmest in the north.

Saturday will be warm with good sunny spells across most the country with cloudier conditions in the west. Scattered showers will occur across the country, some heavy and possibly thundery at times. Highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees, warmest across the eastern half of the country, all in a light to moderate southwest wind.

It will be a mainly dry and clear night for most of the country with lingering showers over parts of the southwest and northeast. Patches of mist and fog are possible along southern coasts. A heavier and more persistent band of rain will move in from the west later in the nigh. Mild with temperatures not falling below 12 to 15 degrees in a mainly light to moderate southwest breeze, fresh at times along Atlantic coasts.

Any remaining rain and drizzle will move away early Sunday morning leaving brighter spells. Fresher and breezier than recent days with highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees, warmest in the east. Some sunny spells but with a chance of showers, all with rather brisk westerly winds.

Isolated showers along southern and western coasts, clear spells elsewhere. Noticeably cooler with lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in mainly moderate westerly winds, reaching strong along Atlantic coasts.

Turning more unsettled next week as an Atlantic regime takes hold.

A bright start to the day on Monday with isolated showers, followed by outbreaks of rain later on. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees, feeling cooler in the north. Moderate to fresh westerly winds reaching strong at times along northern coasts.

Tuesday is expected cloudy with rain and drizzle. A few brighter spells breaking through in the north and west at times. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, in mainly moderate to fresh west to southwest winds.
