Mixed with rain or showers at times. That's the weather outlook for the coming days.
Rain in many areas early this morning, heavy in places. It will gradually clear southeastwards through the morning. Sunshine and showers will follow from the west. Showers will become heavier in Ulster this evening with hail possible. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds.
Tonight, showers will mainly affect Connacht and Ulster early in the night and will spread southeastwards across much of the country overnight. They'll be heaviest in Connacht and Ulster with hail possible. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees with moderate to fresh southwest winds.
On Friday morning, showers will affect many areas and will gradually clear to the south in the afternoon. Further showers will move down from the northwest through the late afternoon and evening. Some sunny intervals also. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with moderate southwest winds becoming northerly.
Friday night will become mainly dry with clear spells. There will be some showers in western and northern coastal areas. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, stronger on western and northern coasts.
Saturday will start off mainly dry with sunny spells. Showers in the west and north will move down over much of the country, some heavy and a few possibly of hail. Highest temperatures off 8 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, stronger along some Atlantic coasts. Saturday night will be cold and mainly dry with clear spells and lowest temperatures of 1 to 6 degrees, coldest in Leinster.
Sunday also will begin mainly dry. Rain will develop in the west and north during the morning and will spread southeastwards through the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with moderate westerly winds, freshening through the day. There'll be further outbreaks of rain on Sunday night, mainly in the south and west with lows of 6 to 8 degrees.
On Monday, outbreaks of rain in the west and south will gradually spread to all areas and clear later. A milder day with highs of 12 to 14 degrees and moderate to fresh westerly winds.
Further outlook. It looks like the weather will continue unsettled through the rest of next week with further rain or showers at times.
