Predeceased by his parents, Jean and Marie-Joséphe.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Martina, children Jasmine, Alicia and André, sister Nelly Trasart, Aunt Marie- Madeleine (Daniel) Ardiet, Annette (Jean-Pierre) Thirion. His sisters-in-law Mary Mc Nally, Anna and Nora Sheridan, brothers-in-law Didier Trassart, Seamus Sheridan, Hugh Mc Nally, his nieces Lise, Niamh, Aine, Ava, and nephews Tom, Daniel, Connor, Adam, Ewan, Sean, and Donál, cousins Gregory (Christelle) Ardiet, Pierre-Jean (Sandrine) Thirion, Benjamin and Elise Thirion. His many cousins and amazing wonderful friends (Bérets), neighbours in both Ireland and France and his work colleagues in ESB.

Reposing at Matthew’s Funeral Home, Virginia, Co. Cavan (A82YV58) on Friday January 16th, from 5pm to 8.00pm.

Funeral Mass at St. Dympna’s Church, Upper Lavey, Cavan (A82XW61) on Saturday 17th at 12 noon with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peter Galligan

Glasscarrick, Loughduff, Cavan

Peter died peacefully in the loving care of his devoted family on January 14th, 2026.

Predeceased by his parents, Conor and Frances (née Moynagh), his brother Patrick, sister Sr. Margaret (Sisters of Mercy, Colwyn Bay) and his darling Grandson, Tiarnán.

Peter will be forever loved and sadly missed by his devoted family, loving wife Brigid, children Claire (Kevin), Paula (Kevin), Conor (Roslyn), Irene (Tim), Peter Paul, David (Laura).

Sadly missed by his adored grandchildren who brought him such joy and happiness.

Sisters Bridie Dobson, Mary Kraemer, brothers Connie, James, Brendan and Thomas, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Friday followed by removal to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran (N39 HN84) arriving at 6pm. Funeral mass on Saturday at 12 noon. Internment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Passed away peacefully in the care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda surrounded by her loving family.

Pre deceased by her husband Tony. Sadly missed by her sons Richard, Michael, Anthony, David and Noel Lawlor, her daughters Martina, Collette and Allison, her grandchildren Annie, Phillipa, Connor, Nichola, Noel, Tony, Mickey, James, Stella, Alice, Ryan and Liam, great grandchildren Osin, Jack, Nathan and Darragh.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home on Saturday 17th January from 3pm until 6pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday 18th January at 12 noon in St. Brigid's Church, Knockbride East, followed by private Cremation in Lakelands Cremetorium. House private please.

Mourne Vale, Avenue Road, Dundalk, Louth / Cootehill, Cavan

Formerly of Market Street, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Colette died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, 15th January 2026. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Rose and brothers Michael and Charles. Remembering also Jim, Nuala, Marie, Gerry and Mary. Colette was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her husband Tony, her children Emer (Barry Mc Elroy), Deirdre (Zoran Ivic), Sinead (Ollie McArdle) and Fergal (Merrilyn Campbell), her darling sister Margaret (Coghlan, Dublin) and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Much loved by her grandchildren Patrick, Sorcha, Fiona, Nicola, Oliver, Lucas and Thomas and her nieces, nephews, extended family, many good friends and neighbours.

Reposing at the family home on Friday, 16th January from 3pm-8pm. Removal on Saturday, 17th January at 11.20am to the Eternity Room of Quinn's Funeral Homes, Dundalk (A91 KW52, entrance on Castletown Road), to arrive for a Funeral Ceremony in celebration of Colette's Life at 12 noon. A private cremation will follow.

The death has occurred of Margaret Jane Hughes (neé Martin), Derrynascobe, Magheracloone, Co. Monaghan and Ashford, Surrey, England.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maggie at the age of 97 years. A great woman, she grew up in Magheracloone through the depression of the 1930s before emigrating to make her life in England. She will be sadly missed.

Predeceased by her beloved parents Patrick and Annie, husband Paul, brothers and sisters Annie, Frank, Kathleen, Patsy, Teresa, Phelim and James. Deeply mourned by her children Kevin and Mary, grandson Paul, great-grandchildren Katie and Billy, brothers and sisters Betty and Conor (London), John and Eugene (Magheracloone), Philomena and Eddie (Carrickmacross), son-in-law, Geoff and granddaughter-in-law Vicky, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Maggie will repose at home on Thursday 29th January - family only. Requiem Mass at St Michael’s, Ashford on Friday 30th January at 10.30am.

We are saddened to announce the death of Raymond Treanor, Knockcor, Tydavnet, Co.Monaghan, who passed away peacefully, on Thursday 15th January, surrounded by his loving family, following the exceptional care of the staff of Craigavon Area Hospital and Glenview Nursing Home, Cabragh.

Predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Annie Treanor, and his brother, Ollie Treanor.

Raymond will be sadly missed by his loving children Louise (Fergal), Patrick, Aisling, Mark (Lisa), and Ciaran (Michaela), and by his wife Olivia. His much-loved grandchildren Alyssa, Bella, JayJay, Dawn, Layla, Rayna, Croíadh, Cara, Áine, and Saorlaith.
