Cavan events to mark Local Enterprise Week

Small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to explore a variety of events designated to support them in launching or growing their business as part of this year’s Local Enterprise Week.

Organised by the Local Enterprise Offices and backed by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, this initiative runs from March 2-6 across the county. While hundreds of events are happening nationwide, County Cavan offers a wealth of activities open to everyone.

These events will focus on:

• Innovation in construction and advanced manufacturing

• Digital transformation and AI for business

• Entrepreneurship and women in business

• Intellectual property essentials

Those involved include representatives from the National Development Summit with Google & EEN, the Intellectual Property Office of Ireland, the Cavan Women in Business Network, local entrepreneurs supported by the Local Enterprise Office.

Speaking ahead of Local Enterprise Week, Eoin Doyle, Chief Executive of Cavan County Council, remarked: “Local Enterprise Week is a fantastic marker in the road for businesses of all sizes. It's an opportunity to evaluate your current position, see where you can grow, where you can innovate and see what resources are available on your doorstep. If you’ve ever considered starting your own business, now is the perfect time to take that first step and turn that ambition into a reality.”

Cathaoirleach Cllr John Paul Feeley added: “Local Enterprise Week is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a business idea, a growing enterprise, or an interest in developing new skills. Across the county and online, there is a wide range of events that offer practical advice, inspiration, and support. I would encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to explore the programme and take part.”
