Gallagher FF to seek clarity on nicotine sales licence changes
The issue has been selected as one of the Commencement Matters by the Cathaoirleach
Senator Robbie Gallagher will call on the Minister for Health to make a statement on proposed changes to the nicotine sales licence during proceedings in the Seanad Éireann later this afternoon.
The issue has been selected as one of the Commencement Matters by the Cathaoirleach and is scheduled for discussion from 2:00 pm.
The Fianna Fáil Senator is expected to raise concerns around how the revised licensing framework may impact retailers, public health policy, and the regulation of nicotine products, including e-cigarettes.
Under Seanad rules, the Senator will have five minutes to deliver his opening statement, outlining the key issues and seeking clarification from Government. This will be followed by a five-minute response from the Minister or a Minister of State.
