The death has occurred of Paddy (Patrick) Kavanagh, The Meadows, Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan, and late of Rivervalley, Swords, County Dublin, peacefully after a short illness at the Mater Hospital Dublin on the 20th of May 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, Joan and Tommy.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife and best friend, Valerie, his loving children, Donna, Stephen, Jo, and Mark, and his treasured grandchildren, Alaani, Holly, Koda, Amy, Alex, Oscar, and adored great-grandchild Sofia.
Sadly missed by his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and great-grandchild, hisdaughters-in-law Lisa, and Adela and sons-in-law Justin and Damien, his brother Brian, his sisters, Pauline, Linda, and Sharon, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, and friends.

Reposing on Saturday evening at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia, A82 YV58, from 5 o'clock until prayers at 7 o'clock.Removal on Sunday afternoon, arriving to St. Joseph's Church, Ballyjamesduff, for 2 o'clock Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. House strictly private, please.

Mary Walsh (nee Poynton), Rosculligan, Cavan and formerly Lisnalee, Scotshouse, Co.Monaghan, Thursday May 21st 2026, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the wonderful staff at Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by her parents James and Sheila Poynton, brothers Danny, Patrick and infant James, nephew Seamus, niece Laura and her parents in law Michael and Eileen Walsh.
Mary was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by her loving husband and best friend Gerry, her heartbroken children, Michelle (Brendan), Declan (Emma) and Kate (Gene), her adored grandchildren Ryan, Sophie, Lucy and Declan Jnr, her brothers and sisters Emily, Michael, Frances, Sheila and Mattie, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, her good neighbours, all her extended family and her many friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan followed by a cremation in Lakelands Crematorium.
