Philip Francis Osborne, Cordal East, Castleisland ,Co. Kerry and formerly of Corryrorke, Mullagh, Co. Cavan . Peacefully at home on September 10th 2026 , in the presence and care of his loving wife Joan (née Reidy) . Predeceased by his son Mark and his parents Jack and Peggy .Sadly missed by his loving wife Joan, his son John, daughter-in-law Sharon, his adored grandchildren Jack, Amy and Adam, brothers-in-law , sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, all extended family , relatives, neighbours and many friends here and in London . Also remembering today his deceased sister Bridie , his brothers Sean, Peter, Teddy and Michael and Joan's deceased siblings Kit, Sonny, Mossie and Neily.

Removal from his residence on Monday morning (Sept 14th) at 11:15am arriving to Cordal Church at 11:30 am where Requiem Mass for Philip will be celebrated at 12 noon . Burial afterwards in Tobar ns bhFionn Cemetery Cordal . The Mass will be livestreamed here.

Teresa Purcell

Mullagh, Cavan / Canningstown, Cavan / Ayrfield, Dublin

Teresa Purcell née McGran, Glen Alaínn, Mullagh and formerly of Canningstown, Co Cavan and Ayrfield, Dublin 13 died on the 10th September 2026 surrounded by her loving family at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her daughter Sandra, parents Robert and Mary McGran, sister May (Matt) and her infant brother Patrick.

Greatly missed and forever loved by her husband Tony, daughter Alison (Glen), sons Karl (Ita), Mark (Mandy) and Alan (Linda), grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Clarke’s Funeral Home, Bailieborough (A82 W2H7) on Sunday 13th September from 4pm – 6pm. Funeral Mass will take place in St. Paul’s Church, Ayrfield (D13 N407) on Tuesday 15th September at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton. Joseph (Joe) Wharton, Crossdoney, Co. Cavan and formerly Sneem, Co. Kerry, Friday 11th September 2026, peacefully in the loving care of his family and the staff at College View Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia and his sister Rita.

Joe will be very sadly missed by his loving family, Andrew (Clare), Anthony (Sharon) and Joanne (David), his adored grandchildren, Shane, Ciaran, Dan, Jack, Andrew, Amy, Kathlyn and Adam, his sister Maura Walsh (Dublin), sisters in law Rose and Gertie, nephews, nieces, all his extended family, good neighbours and his many friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan (H12 C821) on Sunday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Joe's remains will leave the house of his daughter Joanne and son in law David on Monday morning at 10.15 a.m. (approx) and will travel via Ballinagh and Crossdoney to St. Patrick's Church, Drumcor, arriving for a Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Burial will take place afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Laragh, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Brigid Moran (nee Keenan) formerly Laragh, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and Bletchley, Milton Keynes, UK. Brigid has sadly passed away peacefully on 22nd August 2026 with her loving family at her bedside whilst in the care of the staff at Fernleigh Court Nursing Home,

Kempston, Bedford, UK. A loving and devoted wife to the late Frank and mother to Thomas and a loving mother-in-law and grandmother to her daughter-in-law Gráinne and grandsons Luke, Eoin and Ben. Predeceased by her parents Annie & Pat and brother Larry. Brigid is sadly mourned by her sister Annamay, sister in law Bernie and her nieces and nephews Teresa, Patrick, Josephine, P.J., Laurence, Ann and Rosie. Brigid will be sadly missed by her entire family circle, friends and her former neighbours in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, UK.

The family will be having a private cremation in England followed by a requiem mass on on Saturday 19th September 2026 at 10am in the Church of St Michael The Archangel, 327 Finaghy Road North, Belfast, BT11 9EH. Kieran will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Saturday, 12th September, from 3pm until 7:30pm

Kieran's funeral cortège will leave his home, Fartagorman, on Monday, 14th September, driving to the Pound and from there proceeding on foot via the Bridewell & Main Street to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
