7K welfare reviews in northeast
More than 7,000 welfare reviews were carried out in the north east in the eight months between mid-March and the end of November. In the north east, which includes counties Cavan, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, a total of 7,384 reviews, inspection and investigations including new claims, customer requested reviews, PRSI inspections, estates and control reviews, were conducted. The great majority of inspections involve desk assessments and office based interviews.
In total there were 91,056 welfare reviews and inspections carried out nationally, the majority of which (13,804) occurred in the Dublin Sth/Mid Leinster area (Dublin; Kildare; Wicklow).
