Roisin hopes to be crowned Macra Queen

Ramor Macra’s Roisin Lynch will represent Cavan at the 54th annual Clarke Machinery Group Queen of the Land Festival in the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore this weekend. The festival runs over three days drawing Macra na Feirme members and non-members from all over the country to Tullamore for the weekend.

Roisin hails from the hills of Killinkere, where she works as a nurse in Cavan General. Roisin has been an active member of Ramor Macra for the last two years. Quick to show her photographic skills, Roisin became PRO for the club and is now entering her first year as chairperson.
Showing great representation at Macra events, Roisin became the county’s events and fundraising officer and is now currently the rural youth officer. Roisin has a great hand for showing bulls, where she shows her pedigree Charolais cattle from the Mandela Herd. If she isn’t helping the community as a nurse, volunteering with Macra na Feirme or showing cattle, she will surely whip you up one of her baking delights in the kitchen!
This is Roisin’s first personality competition within Macra and she is really looking forward to the experience. She is one of 30 Queens from all over Ireland and Scotland who will compete for the title of Clarke Machinery Group Queen of the Land 2018.
The three day festival includes a tour of Offaly's best loved attractions, a dance, and banquet, and of course crowning of the 2018 Queen of the Land.
The aspiring queens will be grilled by judges Anna-May McHugh, Gerard Clarke and Emma Birchall to test those personalities. Roisin will hope to impress the judges with her great sense of humour and can do attitude, which led her to the 'Best New Member' finals last year at the Rally.
They will also take to the stage for interviews in front of family, friends and supporters. Roisin is no stranger to the stage after appearing on the Late Late Show Valentine's special in her signatory pink wellies!
To see how Roisin gets on, head along to the Queen of the Land Festival in the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore between November 9-11.
