The Modified and Sports Car Show is coming back to Cavan this weekend. It's at Equestrian Centre on Sunday, June 20 from 10am to 6pm, when there'll be an extended range of vehicles, including sports and rally cars and the best modified machinery in the country.
Champion stunt driver Terry Grant is coming too. Recently back from his tour of the southern hemisphere and currently sponsored by Renault Formula One, Terry is the ultimate live action performer and has no equal.
The Cavan event offers an opportunity to see him in action, to be amazed as he defies gravity with his impressive vehicles and gasp as he changes a wheel while the car is still moving. Terry recently broke his own world record at a show in Fintona in May, (Ireland's longest running modified event). Terry's latest vehicle, the amazing £200,000 Chrome Raptor GTR, capable of speeds of 249mph will be there too.
World champion motorcycle stunt rider Mattie Griffin will be in the live action arena to enthral the crowds as well. Mattie (sponsored by BMW) is an amazing performer who has to be seen to be believed as he puts his hand-built machines through their paces.
If you like screeching tyres and smoke filled live action, you'll enjoy the Opposite Lock Display Team with their new range of vehicles - BMWs, an Evo and a quad.
Indoors this year, feel the beat of the music as you marvel at some amazing examples of modified metal competing for the Best Car in Show trophies in several categories. The attention to detail of the drivers in presenting their cars is incredible.
