Video boyracers kingscourt tribute to accidental death teen

Kingscourt came to a standstill last weekend, when on Saturday hundreds of boy- and girl-racers descended on the town, making it impassable, to pay tribute to a teenager who died on a farm in Monaghan.

Robbie O'Reilly, 19, from Milltown, Kilmainhamwood, was tragically killed in an accident on a remote farm in Donaghmoyne, near Carrickmacross - it is understood a support collapsed at the scene.

Mr O'Reilly's funeral mass was celebrataed in Kilmainhamwood on Saturday morning, after which a convoy of 'souped' up cars made their way to Kingscourt at around 2-2.30pm.

Specially-printed number plates, bearing only the word 'Robbie' were fixed to cars or held aloft out of windows as drivers performed doughnuts in clouds of smoke in tribute to the car-enthusiast.
