College unveils mural in tribute to journey of St Mogue
18 May 2013Braving inclement weather, which at times may have made St Mogue himself turn back in his travels to and from his native island on Templeport Lake, the Transition Year students of St Mogue’s College, Bawnboy, unveiled a mural last week at the boat house detailing the local saint’s journey in life.

The project, which began back in January with funding provided by Cavan County Council, depicts the journey taken by St Mogue, or Máedóc, from when he was held hostage at the hands of the High King of Ireland, to studying in Wales under St David and his return to Ireland, to Wexford and the founding of the Diocese of...read more
