Ryan Connolly of Drumlane had an excellent game at centre-forward.

St Pat's defeat Inis Eoghain in Ranafast semi-final

St Pat's advanced to the Ranafast Cup (U16 and a half) final in style this evening in Cookstown with a 2-15 to 0-7 win over Inis Eoghain of Donegal. Spurred on by centre-forward Ryan Connolly, who kicked 1-5 in the first half, St Pat's dominated. The Cavan school raced into an eight-point lead and although the Donegal side were more competitive after the break, they couldn't cope with the power of the likes of centre-back Cian McManus and the midfield pairing of Thomas Galligan and David Brady. St Pat's, who are coached by Finbar O'Reilly, Andy McGovern and Gerry Gunn, will play the winners of Omagh CBS - to whom they lost in the 2010 Corn na nOg final - and Abbey CBS in the decider.
