Derrylin fire claims three lives

Three people have died in house fire in Derrylin, Fermanagh this morning. The PSNI have confirmed that they were called to an address at Molly Road in the town at 7:20am today.

Emergency services have attended at the scene and are carrying out an examination of the property to establish the cause of the blaze.

In a tweet earlier today the PSNI said: “We can confirm that at least three people have died in a house fire in Derrylin, Fermanagh this morning. Emergency services remain at the scene. We are working to definitively establish the cause of the fire at this time. People should avoid Molly Road area at present.”

Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy said: “Emergency services are carrying out an extensive examination of the property to establish the cause of the blaze and determine if any other persons have been involved.”
He concluded by saying: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have seen anything that could assist the officers investigating this incident to please get in touch by calling 101."
