Thomas Dunne, Carnalynch, Bailieborough, Co Cavan, died 28th November 2020. Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Deeply regretted by his brothers Charlie, Frank, Gerard and Barney, nephews, especially John, nieces, sisters in law, relatives and friends.

Due to current government and HSE guidelines, Thomas's funeral Mass will be private to family only.

Funeral procession will leave his residence on Monday afternoon at 1.40pm to arrive at St Anne's Church, Bailieborough, for funeral Mass at 2pm with burial afterwards in St Anne's Cemetery. Kathleen Smith

Lisnalee, Bailieborough, Cavan

Kathleen Smith Lisnalee, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died 29th November 2020. Ex employee of Cavan General Hospital. Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mollie, brother T.P., sister Bridget. Deeply regretted by her sisters Margaret and Jane, brother in law Matt, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Lilly McCabe, Drumacarrow, Bailieborough, Co Cavan, died 27th Nov, 2020, peacefully, at Fairlawns Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Larry and son Leonard. Deeply regretted by her loving sons and daughters Kathleen, Peter, Jim, Eileen, Patricia, Mattie, Una, Morris, Caroline and Sabrina, brother Mattie, sister Johanna, sisters in law, brother in law, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends

Sharon McCartney (née Bell)

Shancarnan, Moynalty, Meath / Bailieborough, Cavan

Sharon McCartney (nee Bell), Shancarnan, Moynalty, Kells, Co Meath. Died peacefully on the 28th November 2020. Sadly missed by her loving husband Herbert, children Christina, Stephen, Linda and Adam, brothers Neville and Leslie, daughter in law Danielle and her cherished granddaughters Madison and Brooke and extended family and friends.

Funeral procession will leave her residence Tuesday at 1.30pm to arrive at Kells Presbyterian Church for funeral service at 2pm. Friends and neighbours are welcome to line the route in a safe and socially distant manner, as a mark of respect. Burial afterwards in Urcher Graveyard, Bailieborough, Co Cavan. Family flowers only, donations, in lieu, if desired, to Kells Palliative Care, care of Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough. House strictly private please.

Nancy McGovern

Palmerstown, Dublin / Cavan

​McGOVERN, Nancy (Palmerstown, Dublin and formerly of Teeboy, Muineal, Co. Cavan) November 26th 2020 Peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Lisheen Nursing Home, Rathcoole. Nancy, beloved wife of the late Frank and much loved and cherished mother of Angela, Frank, Noreen, Gerard, Maria, Paul and Helena. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, her sister Carmel, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings. When the current circumstances have passed we look forward to celebrating Nancy’s life with friends and extended family at a later date.

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Gavaghan. Coolfore, Carrickmacross, 28th November 2020. Peacefully, at his home, following an illness borne with courage and dignity, surrounded by his beloved family. Predeceased by his parents Jim & Peggy. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his wife Irene, his son James and his daughter Laura, son-in-law Mike & James' partner Rachel, his adored grandchildren Ava, Orla and Mason, his brothers Michael & Thomas and his sisters Margaret & Marie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and his ESB colleagues and friends.

There will be an opportunity for the community to pay their respects as James' funeral cortège leaves his home on Tuesday morning at 10:20am via the Ballybay Road, Ross Carraig Road, Castleblayney Road and on foot via the Shirley Arms Hotel, proceeding to St. Joseph's Church.

The death has occurred of Thomas Martin (Snr), Killyvane, Monaghan H18 KC53, Saturday 28th November. Pre-deceased by his daughter Jackie (Mealiff), brothers, Eamie (James), Noel and sister May (Leonard).

Thomas passed away, peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family; beloved wife, Peggy, daughters, Marie (Burbridge), Patricia (Thomson), Frances (Mohan), Nuala (O'Sullivan), sons, Thomas & Tony. Sadly missed by his daughters in law, Claire (Smyth-Martin) & Breege (Lavin-Martin), sons in law, Paul (Burbridge), Jimmy (Thomson), Macartan (Mohan), Denis (O'Sullivan) & Sam (Mealiff), grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Thomas' remains will repose at his residence until removal on Monday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan, for 11am funeral Mass.
