Investigation launched after theft of phone lines

Gardaí have launched an appeal after the theft of telephone cable.
The incident took place on Saturday night in the Lisduff area of Ballybay.
It’s the latest incident in recent weeks where Eir phone cables have been stolen.
Gardaí say those responsible strip the cable for the copper wire inside.
THey have hit out at the culprits saying they “show no regard for the disruption it causes in rural areas”.

They have also urged people to be vigilant for any similar incidents and report anything suspicious to Gardaí.
