Major cannabis seizure made in Cavan
A man's being questioned by Gardaí.
€34,000 worth of cannabis has been discovered in Cavan town.
Members of Cavan Monaghan Divisional Drugs Unit arrested a man following the seizure yesterday.
A search was conducted under warrant of a house in Cavan town shortly after 6.30pm on Wednesday, as part of Operation Tara.
Plants, in various stages of growth, were seized by Gardaí.
A man in his early 50's has been arrested in connection with this seizure and is currently detained at Cavan Garda Station.
He's being questioned under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
