George Johnston

Derrylane, Killeshandra, Cavan

Monday February 26th unexpectedly in Cavan General hospital.

George will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Gladys (Sloane), brother Raymond, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Resting in Lawlor's Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet (H14R583) today Tuesday from 6pm until 8pm.

Removal leaving the funeral home tomorrow Wednesday at 1.45pm arriving at Derrylane Parish Church at 2.30pm for Funeral service followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard.

Denn Cross, Carrickaboy, Cavan, H12 FH96

Ralph Byers Snr, Denn Cross, Carrickaboy, Co Cavan. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Lily and dear father of John (Caroline), Ann (Wayne) and Ralph (Charlene). Sadly missed by his loving sons, daughter, son in law, daughters in law, his 11 adored grandchildren, sister Rebecca, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Safe in the arms of Jesus.

Reposing at his home H12FH96 from 4pm today, Monday. Removal from his home, Wednesday at 1.30pm, to Denn Parish Church, H12KR61, to arrive for Funeral Service at 2.00pm. Interment afterwards in adjoining church grounds. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Denn Parish Church Repair Fund c/o Canon Mark Lidwill, The Rectory, Keadue Lane, Co. Cavan or any family member.

Philip Cooney

Monaghanoose, Bailieborough, Cavan

Philip Cooney, Monaghanoose, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan died on the 23rd February 2024 peacefully at Shrewsbury House Nursing Home, Dublin. Predeceased by parents Phil and Bridie and brothers Eamon and Kieran.

Deeply regretted by his brothers Patrick (Rose), Michael (Colleen), Paul (Brenda), Brendan, Gabriel (Ann), Raymond (Mary Rose), sisters Breda, Mary (Michael) and Sheila (Jim), nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough, on Tuesday, 27th February, from 6pm - 8pm. Removal from Clarke's Funeral Home on Wednesday morning to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough, for Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery.

Serena Gardiner

Cootehill, Cavan

Serena Gardiner, 57 Annwood Heights, Drumnaveil, Cootehill, Co Cavan 26th February 2024 suddenly at Cavan General Hospital. Serena will be dearly missed and forever loved by her loving family, Mother Patricia, Father Brian, Daughter Sarah, Son Mason, Brothers Glen, Barry, Brian & Keith, Sisters-in-law Christine, Anita, Annett & Lisa, sadly missed by Mark, Gerard, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home Cootehill (H16 FD25) this Tuesday evening from 5pm till 8pm. Removal leaving Mullen’s Funeral Home Wednesday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 11 o’clock funeral mass. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

John Anthony (Tony) McLaughlin

Cavan Road, Ballinagh, Cavan

John Anthony (Tony) McLaughlin passed away on Monday 26th February, peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife and best friend Maureen, his brothers Pat, George, Jerry, Danny, Joe and his sister Mary. Sadly and dearly missed by his loving, sons and daughters, Regina, Catriona, John, Gerard and Padraig, son in law Laurence, daughters in law Lucinda, Rosie and Stephanie, his sister Phil. Greatly missed by his cherished grandchildren Aaron, Conor, Lauren, Ryan, Jonathan, Caolán, Eleanor & Sadbh, his sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his home on Tuesday 27th from 5pm concluding with prayers at 9pm and Wednesday from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. House private to family and friends at all other times.

Removal on Thursday morning to St. Felim's Church, Ballinagh, to arrive Funeral Mass at 11.00am followed by burial in the New Cemetery, Ballinagh. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired to Palliative Care, Cavan, care of any family member.

Maureen McManus

Townymakelly, Blacklion, Cavan, F91 DX31

Maureen McManus, nee McManus, Townymakelly, Blacklion, Co. Cavan, F91 DX31, formerly Legnagrow, Glangevlin.

Peacefully in her 103rd Year, at home, in the loving care of her family on Monday 26th February. Predeceased by her late husband John James, her brothers Terence, John, her sisters Aggie, Teresa and Ailish, her sons in law Vincent and John.

Loved deeply and will be lovingly remembered by her sons Philip (Ann), Sean (Mary) her daughters Rosaleen, Mary, Margaret (Seamus), Eilish, Martina (Pat) and Christine (Pat). Her adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family neighbours and good friends.

Reposing at her residence (F91 DX31), Tuesday and Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm. House strictly private at all other times.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church, Killinagh, Blacklion on Thursday at 11am followed by burial in Killinagh Cemetery.

Teresa Conroy

(née Doran)

Raheny, Dublin / Ballybay, Monaghan

Conroy, Teresa, (nee Doran), (Raheny, formerly Ballybay, Co. Monaghan) passed 24th February 2024, peacefully in the care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, predeceased by her loving husband Eamon, very sadly missed by her daughter Margaret and son Kevin, Daughter-in-law Yvonne, her cherished grandchildren Paul, Laura, ,Paul, Laura, Racheal, Sarah, Annabelle, Sean and Alannah great-granddaughter Hallie, her sister Bridie, extended family nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Teresa will be reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Springdale Road, Raheny on Thursday, 29th February, from 3.00pm-5.00pm. Funeral mass Friday, 1st March, at Holy Trinity Church, Donaghmede at 10am followed by burial in St Fintan's Cemetery.
