A wet start, especially over the eastern half of the country this morning, with outbreaks of rain that will quickly clear into the Irish Sea, giving way to sunny spells and scattered showers spreading from the west. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees in light to moderate westerly winds.
Showers will become more isolated tonight so most places will become dry with long clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light to moderate west to southwest winds.
A dry and bright start to tomorrow, Friday, with good spells of sunshine and well scattered showers. Sunshine will turn hazy through the morning and afternoon as cloud builds from the west. Through the afternoon further showers will move across the country before rain spreads from southwest during the evening. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly winds.
Turning rather wet overnight on Friday as outbreaks of rain spread from the west and southwest. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southerly or variable winds, freshening in the southwest overnight.
Continuing unsettled for the weekend and into next week with rain or showers each day.
After a wet start on Saturday, cloud and rain will gradually clear eastwards leaving a mix of showers and sunny spells for Saturday. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh and occasionally strong northwest winds.
Showers will become confined to western and northwestern coasts overnight Saturday with long clear spells elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in light to moderate northwest winds.
Sunday will bring a mix of sunshine and showers, with cloud increasing in the west through the afternoon, before brightening again by the evening. Highest temperatures of just 13 to 16 degrees in moderate westerly winds.
Starting off largely dry Sunday night before cloud and outbreaks of rain spread form the west. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light southwesterly winds.
Current indications suggest Monday will be cloudy with spells of persistent rain over the northern half of the country and light showers further south. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
Our weather will remain unsettled into next week although temperatures look set to climb day on day closer to average for the time of year.
