A banner, which is being treated as a hate crime, has been removed from a children’s playpark in Co Tyrone.

It is the second time that police officers have removed a banner from the location in Moygashel.

A banner was previously removed from the location by police on June 5th. It was then replaced.

In a statement on Tuesday, a police spokesperson confirmed the banner had been removed.

The spokesperson said the placing of the banner is being investigated as a criminal offence and issued an appeal for information.

“Police enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information that could assist is asked to contact police on 101,” they said.

“Alternatively, you can report online at the website psni.police.uk/report or in confidence through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
