Cavan, and he remained a devoted supporter of Gaelic games throughout his life. Above all, Joe cherished his family and was known as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son and loyal friend.

In 2001, Joe and his family returned to Co. Cavan, where he fulfilled his dream of starting his own carpentry business. He spent 14 years working in Ireland before returning to the United States with his family. Upon his return, Joe became a proud member of Local 157 Carpenters Union and worked on projects at New York Law School in Brooklyn.

Joe will be remembered for his quiet nature, sharp wit and kind heart. He had a wonderful sense of humour, a strong work ethic and a genuine love for those around him. Michele (Shelly) Frawley (née Phipps)

Leixlip, Kildare / Clones, Monaghan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Michele "Shelly" Frawley (née Phipps).

Beloved wife and soulmate of Fran, the love of her life, Shelly was a devoted and deeply loved mother to Daniel, Jonathan and Amanda. She was the heart of her family and will be forever loved and profoundly missed. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters- and son-in-law, Emma, Lorna and Martin, by her adored grandchildren, Evan and Aoibhe-Lyn, who brought her immeasurable joy, and by her faithful four-legged companion, Meg, who was never far from her side.

She will be deeply missed by her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends, colleagues, former clients, and the countless people whose lives she touched throughout her life.

Born in Clones, Co. Monaghan, Shelly made her home in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, where she became a much-loved member of her community.

For over 35 years, Shelly worked as a therapist, alongside more than 20 years as a social worker. An IACP-accredited counsellor and supervisor, she devoted her life to supporting, advocating for and empowering others. For Shelly, counselling was never simply a profession, it was a calling. Through her compassion, wisdom, authenticity and unwavering belief in the dignity and worth of every person she encountered, she changed countless lives. Her legacy lives on in all those she encouraged, comforted and inspired.

A true matriarch and lioness, Shelly's family meant everything to her. Fiercely loyal, endlessly compassionate, witty, and known for her wonderfully dark sense of humour, she had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen, heard and loved. Whether you were family, a friend, a neighbour, a client, or simply someone who crossed her path, Shelly had a remarkable way of making you feel as though you belonged. Many came to know her as a second mum, and her home and heart were always open. She believed there was a song for every occasion, often smiling and saying, "There's always a song there..." before breaking into one. It was one of the many little things that made her so uniquely Shelly and brought joy to everyone around her.

Above all, Shelly was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She loved God wholeheartedly, was devoted to prayer, and found strength, peace and hope in her relationship with Him throughout her life. While our hearts are broken by her absence, we take comfort in knowing that she is now home, held safely in the everlasting arms of God.

Shelly leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, compassion and unwavering service to others. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and her influence will continue to be felt in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

"The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 33:27

Forever loved. Forever missed. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
