Funeral details announced for teen drowning victim
Alan Creamer's removal is to take place on Tuesday evening to St Patrick's Church, Mohill.
Funeral details for Alan Creamer, the 19 year old who died suddenly and tragically at the weekend, have been announced.
Mr Creamer, of Rooskeynamona, Mohill, Co Leitrim, died Sunday, August 16, following a drowning at the Ballinamore Family Festival.
His death is being treated as a tragic accident and is the second drowning in the region in almost a week, following the death of 28-year-old father-of-one James Fanthorpe McHugh, who got into difficulty after falling into the Annalee River in nearby Ballyhaise while fishing on Tuesday, August 11.
In a tribute published following his death, Mr Creamer's heartbroken family said: “Alan left us far too soon. His bright smile and kind heart will stay with us forever.”
Mr Creamer was predeceased by his grandparents Mary and Berney McKiernan. He is survived by his parents, Carmel and John; sister Chloe; grandparents Mary and Liam Creamer; aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Tributes posted online in the wake of Mr Creamer's death remembered him for his bright personality and kind heart, as well as his love of cars, tractors and machinery.
The organisers of the Ballinamore Family Festival expressed their deep sadness following the tragedy. As a mark of respect, fireworks planned for the festival's closing night were cancelled.

His Funeral Mass will take place at 11am, Wednesday, August 19, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
