Much warmer today as weather improves

Largely dry and settled with mostly light breezes. Mild for the time of year. That's the latest weather outlook from Met Éireann.

Dry today with spells of hazy sunshine. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees, warmest in the west, with a moderate, occasionally fresh, southeasterly wind.

Dry with long clear spells tonight. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees generally in light to moderate east or southeast winds. It will be a little milder in the southwest where winds will be fresher.

Dry and sunny for most tomorrow. Cloud will build later in the southwest with the possibility of some showers there, some of which could be heavy or thundery. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees generally, a little cooler near eastern and southern coasts, in mostly light to moderate southeasterly winds, continuing fresher in the southwest.

Dry and clear for most overnight on Friday. Cloudier in the southwest, and possibly the west, with showers, some heavy with thunderstorms possible. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees for most, milder in the southwest, in light easterly or variable breezes.

A mix of cloud and sunny spells on Saturday, the best of which will be in the north and east. Elsewhere there will be showers at times, some of which will be heavy or thundery, but they will become isolated by evening. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, coolest near coasts, in light southeasterly or variable breezes.

Mostly dry overnight on Saturday with a mix of cloud and clear spells with just isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light variable breezes, more moderate in the north and northeast.

Largely dry on Sunday with just some showers. Sunny spells early in the day will improve with more widespread sunshine expected later. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in light variable breezes.

Some uncertainty in the details for Monday. Likely another mostly dry day with spells of sunshine and just isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees generally in light variable breezes.

Further Outlook: Current indications suggest high pressure will continue to dominant through midweek with largely dry conditions and with temperatures widely reaching the mid to high teens.
