Danny Byrne 27th Infantry Batallion and 2nd Garrison Military Police, 15 Drumlin Drive, Cootehill, Co Cavan and formally Dungarvan Co. Waterford, May 26th 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Mary & Jimmy Byrne and Brother Jimmy.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his cherished wife Mary, son Damien, brothers Michael and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home (H16 FD25), this Friday evening from 4 to 7pm. Removal leaving his home on Saturday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church Cootehill for 11 o’clock funeral mass, followed by burial in St Michael’s cemetery.

House private to family and friends please.

Ann Madden

(née Coleman)

Sallaghan, Loch Gowna, Cavan / Sandymount, Dublin

It is with great sadness that the family of Ann Madden (Nee Coleman) announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday the 26th of May 2026. Devoted wife of Brendan (senior) and adored mother of Derek, Brendan, Susan and Colman, and daughters-in-law Aisling, Amanda and Louise and cherished grandmother of Aoife, Dylan, Sean, Laura, Hannah and David. Survived by her brother Dr. Derek Coleman and her sister Kay Semonchick. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Sadly missed by her family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Ann will repose at Lakelands Funeral Home & Crematorium, Cavan H12 RF78 on Fri 29th May from 4pm to 6pm. Her Funeral mass will be celebrated in The Church of The Holy Family, Loch Gowna H12 FT54 at 3pm on Saturday the 30th of May, followed by cremation at Lakelands Funeral Home & Crematorium, Cavan H12 RF78.

The death has occurred peacefully of Veronica Philomena O' Connor (nee O'Reilly), Gauden Rd, Clapham, London and late of Corragary, Maudabawn, Co. Cavan, in her 98th year.

Predeceased by her husband Bernard and her daughter Angela, her brothers Gerard, Alphonsus and Jerome and her sisters Margaret, Moria, Christina, and Nuala.

Dearly missed by her daughters Kathleen, Veronica, Rosemarie, Mary and Patricia, her son Robert, her sister Eithne (Virginia) , her beloved and cherished grandchildren - Tadgh, Max, Jack, Milo, Sean, Julia and Livia.

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58) on Thursday evening from 7 o'clock until prayers at 8 o'clock.

Removal to Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia on Friday morning for 11 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The peaceful death has taken place in his home, surrounded by his loving family, of Tony Reilly, Tullagh, Carrigart, and formerly, of Curlough, Co Cavan. Predeceased by his wife Bridget, his siblings, Patrick, John, Michael, Peter, Maura, Lily, Mae and Kathleen. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughters, Susanne (Michael), Marie (Dannie), Ailish (Barry) son John, grandchildren, Brónach, Ronan, Aobha, Cathair, Domhnall, Cian and Finn, his sister Rosaleen, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

His remains will repose at his home F92XA06, from 3pm today, Wednesday 27th May and from 12 noon on Thursday 28th May, with rosary each night at 9pm. Family time both nights after the rosary and on the morning of the funeral. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday 29th May at 11am in St John the Baptist Church, Carrigart, F92 FW93, with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Armagh, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Tuesday 26th May 2026. Predeceased by his parents James and Catherine, brothers James, Oliver, Oweny. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Brigid, sons Andrew, Kevin (Laren), Michael (Martha), grandchildren Ana, Eva, James, Oisín and Grace, nephew David, brother-in-law Eamonn Lynch, sisters-in-law Mary Downey and Margaret Doherty, relatives and friends.

We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Connor McKenna, Knockballyroney, Scotstown, Co.Monaghan. Tuesday 26th May, unexpectedly.

Predeceased by his mother Eileen.

Suddenly but peacefully in the care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Bridie is predeceased by her husband Jimmy, her parents Frank and Mary Anne, her brothers John and Vincent and her sister Maureen.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Colin (Agneta), Michael (Sinead) and Jimmy (Rose), daughters Lisa (Ciaran Maguire), Fiona (Joe Treanor) and Ciara (John Heneghan).

Bridie will be also missed by her cherished grandchildren Susanna, Richard, Conor, Cian, Orán, Aoife, Áine, Adam, Sinéad, Orla, Sadie, Jenny, Bridie, Seamus, Eddie, Laura, Sarah Mae, Amy and Darragh, her two great grandchildren Freya and Chloe, her sisters Philomena and Eileen, her brother James, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
