Cornafean coffee morning raises over €4k for Cuan
“Cancer touches us all... We have learned that we are strongest in the broken places.”
These are the sentiments of Aisling Sheridan from Cornafean who put her culinary passion and baking business, Heavenly Crumbs, to use recently at a coffee morning at MacSeains Bar and Golf. The morning raised a grand total of € 4,340 for Cuan Centre Cavan from generous donations and sales on the morning.
She described Cuan as a “remarkable team who provide a special place for all those who avail of their services.”
“It is a real sanctuary supported by professionals who provide a welcoming atmosphere, excellent complementary therapies, and vital emotional support provided for both patients and their families.”
Aisling said she is “still trying to put into words how grateful” she is for the support received on the morning.
“Thank you to every person who came along, donated, bought bakes and supported my Coffee for Cuan morning,” the twenty-two-year-old praised.
“This is a cause close to my own heart, which made all the support shown even more meaningful. The kindness and generosity shown by everyone was honestly overwhelming.”
She was very grateful to Art McSeain for providing a brilliant venue, also said a massive thank you to Ciara and Laura Smith, Erin McPhillips and Irene Eccleston who helped her on the day.
“I genuinely couldn’t have done it without all of the support from the people of Cornafean and the surrounding area, who turned out in huge numbers and were so generous.” Aisling has been a busy lady as behind the scenes, these past few years have been full in every way. Alongside her baking she has also completed an BSc Hon degree in Agriculture & Environmental Management.
