Male (18) hospitalised after Lidl car park assault

Gardai are investigating a suspected assault causing harm that happened last night at Lidl car park on the Ballinagh Road.

A teenage male was hospitalised after two males were reported to gardai as fighting in the Creighan area on the Ballinagh Road at 10pm last night

Gardai in Cavan arrived on the scene where one male was aggressive towards gardai and arrested.

The other male (18), suffered facial wounds and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Gardai sealed off the scene to carry out examinations. Cavan Garda Station can be contacted on (049) 436 8800.
